Dr. Daniel Benenfeld did his undergraduate studies in Arizona State University, in Tempe, AZ. and earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician and licensed in the State of New Jersey. His entire life has been dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle, which includes proper diet, exercise, whole food supplements and meditation.
His extensive educational history started as early as high school where he began educating himself on how food affects every aspect of the body, from how we feel to how we look and what kinds of disease or sickness can be caused or prevented by what we choose to eat. He continues to take nutrition courses and can always be seen with a fitness book or magazine. While at Life Chiropractic College he trained with famous Mark Wallace, “Mr. Georgia”, where he learned every aspect of exercise from all types of cardiovascular exercises to varying levels of strength and weight lifting.
Dr Danny has always loved helping people out with their health goals and concerns. He is a fixture at several local fitness centers working out regularly with other members and even his mother. He strives to live a very long, healthy life, without the pain and suffering that disease causes, most of which can be prevented by proper diet and exercise. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and offering help to anyone who wants it, his family, friends and patients.
Why he decided to share his expertise and knowledge and founded South Jersey Health and Body: He used to have sugar cravings, like most of us, and he was drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day, as well as 3 Redbulls per day! He realized his energy started dropping from the sugar and caffeine because they were stressing out his adrenal glands. This affected his sleeping as he had trouble falling and staying asleep. When you don’t sleep well, you don’t function well during the day. He felt like he was often in a fog and not focused. This affected his work production as well as how he spent time his leisure time. He was at a point where he felt like he wasn’t healthy and wanted to do something about it. So he modified his diet, changed his supplements to whole food, herbal products and did a simple liver detoxification. He says “you don’t realize how great you used to feel until you feel that way again”, describing how he felt after making these easy changes. “They were life altering, and I feel like my insides are so clean that people can take a tour inside of them!” I am never tired anymore and am much more productive in everything I do. I have mental clarity that is not possible under the constant bombardment of chemicals and sugars. I am sleeping better than I have ever slept in my whole life, which than starts my days off great”.
Dr Danny’s typical diet includes raw organic vegetables, lean meat, vitamins and plenty of water. He has developed similar diet and nutrition programs for patients for weight loss and general good health. These programs help patients achieve their goals, whether it’s weight loss, increase of energy, better sleeping or to learn how to be healthier all around. This is his true passion in life, helping people make positive changes in their lives as he has for himself.
Dr Danny spends his leisure time working out at several fitness centers, running, biking, swimming, dancing and “living and promoting a healthy lifestyle”.
